Hoop Diaries with Jeremy Fitch

Together they rose up as what we could consider the first super team on the NBA and international stages.
This team laid a platform for superstars in todays game to follow in their footsteps of representing their country at the highest level.
Everyone speaks of MJ, Magic, Bird, but look who is captured in the picture above before he was considered a great in his own right.
If you don't know who I'm alluding to, it is Coach K. This summer was truly in my eyes the beginning of teaching along with learning what it meant to coach the greats for years to follow.
This roster was more than basketball too as they brought a fashion and vibe around them wherever they traveled.
Greatness isn't always considered by what they were able to do on the court as a team, but a culture and what it meant to represent their country is what makes them still relevant today.
You can look at the stats no doubt that were very impressive, especially the Gold medal game being the closest game they played at that was a 32 point win.
The team has been inducted into the hall of fame, but their is one player that has not been inducted individually and that is the once college basketball great, Christian Laettner.
A team that will never be forgotten, it is incredible that 25 years later even us that were not once able to watch it live can sit back now and appreciate how great they truly were.
